How does this work?

When you arrive, check in with the host. You will receive a name tag and scorecard for taking notes and choosing your matches. The host will kick it off with an introduction and instructions and then the dates will begin! Each round will last 5 minutes, with a 15-20 minute intermission halfway through. Events usually last around 2 hours.

What do I wear?

Look nice, but be you! Avoid wearing anything that might distract you. Be comfortable!

What do I talk about?

Whatever you like! 5 minutes flies by, so you might want to think of a few questions to ask in case you get stuck. We will also provide a few optional icebreakers throughout the event. 

What is a “match”?

Before you leave the event, you will fill out your scorecard to indicate the people you are interested in meeting again. Everyone returns their scorecards to the host. If someone on your list also puts you on their list, you’re a match! Your contact information will be shared mutually. From there, it is up to you to follow up!

What information will be shared with my matches?

Your first and last name and email address will be shared only with the people you matched with. If you want to use a different email address or contact info for sharing, please let us know on the order form or when you check in. 

What if I don’t get any matches?

That’s okay! This is meant to be a fun, low stakes way to meet new people. If you don’t find your match today then you’ve still succeeded in trying something new and learning more about what you’re looking for in a match. You will still receive an email so you won’t be left wondering.

What if I don’t want any matches?

That’s also okay! If you don’t hit it off with anyone, you can leave your card blank.

Why does this event have a ticket fee when others are free?

Great question! Paid tickets ensure participants are serious about attending, reducing no-shows and creating a better experience for everyone. Your ticket also helps cover the costs of organizing and running the event—so you get a well-planned, high-quality experience.

Why do your events have specific age groups?

We design our events with compatibility in mind, ensuring participants meet people in a similar stage of life. While we understand it can be frustrating if you don’t fit a specific event’s age range, these guidelines help create the best experience for attendees. We’re always refining our events based on feedback and working to offer options for a variety of audiences!
